Calgary Lilac Festival 2024: Everything You Need to Know

Calgary's 4th Street Lilac Festival will be bigger than ever when it returns this year.

The free one-day festival is held every season. It features live music, family activities and hundreds of vendors.

The event takes place on Fourth Street between 12th Avenue and Lock Drive, and this year will run to Central Memorial Park and along 17th Avenue between Second Street and Fifth Street SW.

The extra room allows for two more stages than usual, with more vendors, food trucks and expanded patios.

“The expansion of Central Memorial Park will allow attendees to escape the hustle and bustle,” said Jennifer Rempel, producer of the Lilac Festival, in a press release Thursday.

“We are excited to announce that this expansion is permanent, allowing us to add more opportunities for local vendors, performers and small businesses to participate in the Lilac Festival.”
