The Winnipeg Sea Bears have announced their roster for the 2024 season

WINNIPEG – The Winnipeg Sea Bears of the Canadian Elite Basketball League have announced their roster for the 2024 season. The Sea Bears travel to Saskatoon today for their first game of their sophomore season against the Saskatchewan Rattlers tomorrow night at 8:30 p.m. Fans can watch the game on CEBL+, TSN+ and 680 CJOB.

All announced and professional signings except David Muenkat were included on the team's season-opening roster. Muenkat will remain with the Fraport Skyliners of the German Pro A League as they continue their playoff run and will join the team when the Skyliners' season ends.

Newcomer Daren Watts, a member of the Manitoba Bisons, made the roster for the team's 2024 season opener after a successful training camp. Brandon Bobcat Elisha Ampofo, Winnipeg Wesman Donald Stewart and local U SPORTS players Noah Simpson and Lamar Everd will remain with the team as practice players. Draft pick Tyler Sagle also joined the team's practice squad due to injury.

According to CEBL policy, a club can make a maximum of eight roster transactions during the 2024 season (up to 24 hours before the announcement of a team's 16th game). This includes adding or removing players, as well as transferring or transferring athletes to the practice squad.

After the Sea Bears' season opener in Saskatoon, the team returns home to face the defending CEBL champions Scarborough Shooting Stars on Friday, a sold-out matchup. Tickets are available for the team's remaining nine home games HERE.
