Canada is gearing up for Mr. Clothes. Hopefully, this year will be the last year Justin Trudeau wears a stamp and parade in Calgary. Voters in Alberta and Canada gave little votes to costumed heroes. It's painful for all tax-paying Canadians to see an urban cowboy pretending to be an Albertan for a day. Is there an eight-second ride for this cowboy? The old carpet bags were taken outside the city, tarred on the rails and covered with feathers. The federal election is overdue.

Toxic waste online

Re: May 21 SUN editorial “End 'bilateral' Israel-Hamas war”

When I heard that Tik Tok's chat room was going to be banned in the US, I wasn't sure what all the fuss was about. So I logged in and soon realized that the content was grossly skewed in favor of the Hamas tunnel rats at the expense of the State of Israel. His cardinal political sin? One sided! Now we know that so-called “bipartisanship” can also be a political sin. Who knew?

Tighten gun laws

Oh boy! Chrystia Freeland (Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance) has announced major legal measures to combat the high number of stolen vehicles in Canada every day. His action includes legislative and regulatory changes that improve tougher penalties for organized crime, money laundering and violent car theft. Why haven't he and the Trudeau Liberal government implemented tougher laws and penalties for the illegal sale and possession of firearms and any type of firearm crime? Aren't firearms more dangerous than cars?

Tired of all the taxes

On the Green Line LRT bug: Naheed Nenshi says the three levels of government should pay $20 billion, yes, $20 billion. These are municipal taxpayers, provincial taxpayers and Canadian taxpayers. Nenshi news for you: THEY ARE THE SAME TAXPAYERS! Boy, it didn't take long for Nenshi to adopt the NDP playbook of spend, spend, borrow, tax and spend the rest. Enough already. We are taxpayers and max. Check out this year's property tax increase. It started with Nenshi's watch. No wonder Naheed blames others for this mess. It's never his fault, it's someone else's. Thank God he is not the prime minister. If it did, we taxpayers would be on the hook for ever-increasing spending on pet projects. I totally agree with the UCP government, no tax payer money. Gondek, manage within your budget.
