Woman dies in car crash near Portage and Woodhaven

Winnipeg police say one person has died after being hit by a car Sunday night.

WPS responded to a report of a vehicle-pedestrian collision near Portage Avenue and Woodhaven Boulevard at 10:45 p.m.

The woman was taken to hospital in critical condition by Winnipeg Fire Paramedics. He was later confirmed dead from his injuries.

Police noted that the driver of the collision remained at the scene and spoke with police.
