A cyclist has died following a crash in St James on Sunday night

Winnipeg police say a woman has died after a bicyclist and a car collided Sunday night.

The crash happened in the area of ​​Portage Avenue and Woodhaven Boulevard at 10:45 p.m.

According to the police, the female cyclist was taken to the hospital in critical condition and later died of her injuries. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and spoke with the police.

It is not known who was at fault or whether speed was a factor in the collision. Police are continuing to investigate.
