Witness medical emergency forces delay Skibicki trial – Winnipeg Free Press

The trial of confessed serial killer Jeremy Skibicki was postponed Friday morning after medical attention was given to one of the two expected witnesses.

The trial will continue Tuesday with police testimony about what was found on Skibicki's computer after his arrest. Witnesses to testify on Friday will be rescheduled.

Skibicki, 37, has pleaded not guilty to four counts of first-degree murder in the 2022 murders of three Indigenous women – Rebecca Contois, Morgan Harris and Marcedes Mairan – as well as an as yet unidentified fourth woman, Mashkode Bijikiikwe. (Buffalo Woman) local leaders.

The trial of confessed serial killer Jeremy Skibicki was postponed Friday morning.

Skibicki admitted to killing the women, but believes that he should not be prosecuted due to his mental disorder.

On Wednesday, Judge Glenn Joyal ordered Skibicki to complete a psychiatric evaluation on Sunday and Monday.
