He said of the 2023-24 campaign:

“Looking back on this past season, I cannot fail to recognize the extraordinary passion and commitment that characterizes Winnipeg Jets fans. This was never more evident than during our last playoff games, where the entire hockey world, from broadcasters to opposing players, noticed the undeniable energy of our fans. For example, the Hockey News Canada Life Center announced the top playoff atmosphere in the National Hockey League – something that should make all Winnipeg Jets fans proud.

While the early playoff exit was disappointing, there was plenty to celebrate last season. Fourth overall in the league for fewest goals scored all season by William M. Winning the Jennings Trophy and earning another Vezina Trophy nomination for Connor Hellebuyck are significant accomplishments based on a season of hard work and team play.

Much of this success has come from the leadership of the coaching staff and I would like to give a big shout out to retired coach Rick Bowness. His 2,726 games as an NHL head coach or assistant are the most in league history, and it's no surprise that he was nominated for the Jack Adams Trophy for NHL Coach of the Year. Rick embodies the winning culture and attitude we strive for, and his unwavering commitment to excellence has left an indelible mark on our team and organization.

Know that our players are committed to an offseason focused on taking our team to the next level and contending for the Stanley Cup. I can assure you that this is a commitment that is focused on by our entire organization and that we will continue to invest the necessary resources to give our team, our fans, this city and this province every opportunity to celebrate the championship together. Looking forward, we are also very excited about the caliber of young prospects developing in our system, many of whom we believe will allow us to remain legitimate contenders for years to come.

In the meantime, from all of us at True North and the Winnipeg Jets, thank you for your unwavering support and trust in us through your investment.”
