In memory of Derek Flaman about

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved partner, colleague and friend, Derek Flaman, on May 15, 2024.

A former member of the firm's Executive Committee and a long-term partner in our Calgary office, Derek has been a prominent lawyer leading some of the largest energy transactions in Western Canada over the past decade.

His clients and all those who worked with him appreciated and preferred his skill, integrity and professionalism in everything he did. Above all, his kindness, willingness to give time to others and strength of character made him stand out as a special person.

As a lawyer, teacher, mentor, Executive Committee member, and leader, his contributions to our firm have been many and long-lasting. He will be missed by all of us.
