Brunner has joined Avison Young's valuation team in Calgary

Avison Young has brought Liam Brunner on board as a principal and senior director tasked with leading the firm's valuation and advisory services group in western Canada.

Based in Calgary, it focuses on institutional and private sector clients. Most recently, Brunner was a senior managing director and head of the Canadian practice at Newmark. He advised financial institutions, government agencies, real estate developers and investors.

Brunner's appointment follows the hiring of Mike MacFarlane, formerly with Newmark, to the firm's valuation group in Toronto.
