The Southeast Calgary crash was taken to two hospitals

Two men were taken to hospital, one in life-threatening condition, after a two-vehicle crash in southeast Calgary Tuesday evening.

The collision happened at 36th Street and 10th Avenue SE around 7 p.m.

Police say it is unclear what happened between the white Volkswagen and the green Ford Fiesta before the incident.

Volkswagen is a rolling car.

The Volkswagen driver was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The driver of the Fiesta was also taken to hospital and is in stable condition.

Police say there were passengers in the Volkswagen, but none appeared to have been taken to hospital.

The driver of the Fiesta was the sole occupant of the vehicle, police said.

Traffic in the area was closed for several hours on Tuesday evening as the police traffic unit investigated the scene.
