The Banff bar won the 2024 Best Patio Award

Located in the Rocky Mountains, Alberta Bar's patio has been voted the best in all of Canada.

Rundle Bar, located at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, has won the 2024 Best Patio Award from Canada's 100 Best.

“The view from the Rundle Bar patio at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, also known as Castle on the Rock, is spectacular,” the website says.

“With unobstructed views of Sulfur Mountain and the jagged peaks of Rundle Mountain, the picturesque panorama of the enclosure changes with the seasons, from a snowy winter wonderland to a sparkling green valley with sparkling blue glacial pools.”

The drinks at the bar are praised as being as spectacular as the view.

“Try the Sangria House, which pours the great outdoors into your glass. It mixes the wine with Spirit Lake tea made from white pine, sage and sweet grass, all ethically wild, made by the First Nations people of Banff National Park.” site.

“We are thrilled to be named among Canada's best.”

The two-level Rundle Bar got a modern update in 2020, but outside, officials say the patio “retains its original baronial charm.”

The patio is expected to open for the season on June 3.
