3pm – RYP hosts Emancipation Day: honoring the past, celebrating the present and securing the future

5:30 pm – RYP Honors Dinner Awards Ceremony: Honoring individuals who have made significant contributions to Alberta's black community.

About Alberta's potential youth community implementation:

Youth Potential Society (RYP) is a community-based, youth-led nonprofit organization that provides programs and activities focused on mentoring, education, economic empowerment, and health and wellness for Black youth. Our mission is to provide a safe, supportive and empowering space where Black/African Diaspora generations can develop relationships, overcome barriers, build confidence and gain opportunities they can use to enrich their lives. Over the past three years, RYP has offered learning opportunities based on curricula guided by students' lived experiences. We offer comprehensive training programs and training opportunities to achieve our goals.
