Woman dies after crash in St. Vital

WINNIPEG – A woman has died after being hit by a car in the St. Vital area over the weekend.

Police were called to a pedestrian collision at St. Mary's Road and Chesterfield Avenue around 12:40 a.m. Saturday.

A 38-year-old Winnipeg woman was taken to hospital in critical condition and later died from her injuries. The driver of the car stayed at the scene and spoke with the police.
