Two drug locations in Calgary London to open after cyber attack

Two London drug locations in Calgary have reopened for the first time after a cyber security incident last weekend closed more than 80 locations of the pharmacy chain in Alberta, B.C., Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

The Shawnessy location at 325 Shawville Blvd SE, as well as the store on 130th Ave., have reopened to customers.

Locations in Lethbridge, Red Deer, Grande Prairie and Edmonton have also reopened.

According to the company's website, it is gradually reopening stores, but phone lines are open and pharmacists are stationed in all stores to support customers' urgent care needs.

On Saturday, he said he was “putting time into each store to ensure systems are up and running and ready to serve customers.”

“As we've reported over the past couple of days, our store systems are complex and tied to many third-party provider systems with varying requirements. We will continue to work with third-party cybersecurity experts to keep our systems safe and secure online.”

London's drug dens are slowly coming back online as phone lines resume working on Thursday. They were taken offline “as a necessary part of an internal investigation.”

The company previously said there was no evidence that customer databases had been compromised.
