The Hunter Brothers will play a grandstand show at the 2024 Stampede

Canadian band Hunter Brothers will headline the Grandstand Show at the 2024 Calgary Stampede.

Officials made the announcement on Friday, saying the 10-day nightly show will feature mind-blowing stunts, light-up displays and high-energy performances.

“You won't see a show like this anywhere else,” creative director and choreographer Angela Benson said in a press release.

“Made in Calgary, this show features Calgary's artistic talent, world-class stunts and performances. It has rock, grit, country and nostalgia that invites us all to live life in the fast lane.”

According to officials, the guests of the Hunter brothers are on their feet and clapping.

“Showing off their dance-ready anthem Burning down the palace The Hunter Brothers' incredible theatrics, vocals and stage presence set the stage on fire,” Stampede said.

The band said that since they grew up in western Canada, the opportunity to play the Grandstands show is “surreal.”

“We're just a couple of farm boys who grew up on a farm, so reaching a milestone of this magnitude is something that we'll never forget.

“We are beyond excited.”

Last year, the Calgary Stampede broke the world record for the most pancakes served, and this year, officials hope to have the largest dance in western Canada, when the Hunter Brothers team up with The Young Canadians to perform the song. No legs.

The show will also feature the “human firework” – Tammy Firefly.

“Firefly is an innovative fire and aerial performance artist who dazzles guests with his powerful force and awe-inspiring moves,” Stampede said in a press release.

The 2024 Calgary Stampede runs from July 5-14.
