Calgary police say the man's death is not suspicious

Police do not believe foul play was involved when a man was found dead on a northwest Calgary street Thursday afternoon.

On Thursday around 3:20 p.m., police responded to reports of an unresponsive man in the road near the intersection of 18th Avenue/Victoria Crescent and 20th Street NW.

Emergency personnel arrived and pronounced the man dead at the scene.

The man's death remains under investigation, but police said a preliminary examination on Friday indicated the incident was not criminal in nature.

The exact cause of death of a man in his 50s is unknown.

The police are asking the public for help in identifying the woman who was last in contact with the man.

The woman was and is believed to be driving a white 2009 GMC Sierra, Alberta license plate number 03L432, with a manual liftgate and gardening tools in the back.

Police say the truck was reported stolen.

Anyone with information about this incident or the identity/whereabouts of the woman police are looking for is asked to call police at 403-266-1234.
