Alisha Reynolds is the new CEO of Tourism Calgary

Tourism Calgary has announced Alisha Reynolds as the organization's newest Chief Executive Officer.

Reynolds will officially join the organization on June 3, when outgoing CEO Cindy Adee will begin helping her assume the role.

Reynolds Tourism comes to Calgary from Northland Restaurant Group, Canada's largest family-owned hospitality company, where he was vice president of North American development, according to a press release Monday.

“I am honored and humbled to lead Calgary's vibrant tourism industry during a monumental period of growth and opportunity,” said Reynolds.

“Calgary has endless opportunities — our world-class events, venues and attractions create unforgettable experiences for visitors. Tourism is more than just an economic engine; it's a lifeline for countless businesses and a source of pride for every Calgarian.

“I am ready to lend my vision and energy to this dynamic landscape.”

Tourism Calgary board chair Mark Wilson says the group is excited to join one of the industry's “rising stars.”

“In addition to an impressive resume, Alisha brings an infectious spirit that has earned the unanimous support of the board,” said Wilson.

“With a wealth of travel business and leadership experience, an appetite for innovation and a strong vision, Alisha is poised to lead us into a new era of growth and opportunity.”

Under Reynolds' leadership, the organization will develop and implement a 10-year tourism strategy for Calgary's visitor economy, including goals to support Alberta's goal of $25 billion in annual visitor spending by 2035.

Outgoing CEO Ady announced his retirement at the end of last year.
