Wranglers Fall In OT | Calgary Flames

The Wranglers came out flying again as they were the faster and more physical team in the first period. They were rewarded with four minutes of power thanks to a high stick in less than five minutes.

Calgary had a few chances, mostly through Matt Coronato, but couldn't convert.

Coachella Valley got its first power play of the game on a too many men call with 9:32 remaining, but was quickly negated by goalie interference on the Firebirds to make it 4-on-4.

With 2:07 left, the Firebirds had another career opportunity, but sent the game scoreless into the break.

The special teams battle continued in the second quarter as the Wranglers again came up with a man-up, but once again the score remained 0-0.

The game continued with tight checking through the middle of the frame, with neither team able to solve the opposing goalie.

Coachella had a powerplay opportunity 5:23 into the second period and opened the scoring with a shot under the post to make it 1-0 courtesy of Kole Lind.

This would be the score of the third period.

Schwindt tied the game with 1:41 left in the third with a layup under Chris Driedger's basket to make it 1-1.
