Several homes were damaged in the Cougar Ridge fire

A fire destroyed three homes in the Cougar Ridge community on Wednesday.

The fire started around 2 p.m. Wednesday when 911 received several calls about a house fire on Cougartown Close SW.

Crews arrived to find one home fully engulfed in flames, with flames spreading to an adjacent home, prompting a second alarm call for additional resources.

Four people got out unharmed, but two dogs were missing.

Three houses were completely destroyed, and the fourth house suffered minor damage to its sides. In total, six people were displaced from three houses.

As a precaution, other residents of the evacuated area were allowed to return home.

Emergency services vehicles disrupted traffic.

Investigators are investigating the cause of the fire at the scene.
