Connor Zary reminds me of Flames Coronato every day

The Calgary Flames have recalled Wranglers forward Matt Coronato because Connor Zari is out with an injury.

The team said that Zari suffered an upper body injury.

Coronato, 21, is the Wranglers' leading scorer and ranks second among AHL rookies with 15 goals and 27 assists in 40 games.

The Flames' 2021 first-round pick has played in 15 NHL games this season, recording one goal and two assists.

Calgary is riding a five-game winning streak after a comeback win against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday night at the Saddledome.

They face the Seattle Kraken at the Saddledome on Monday at 7:30 p.m

Currently, Calgary has played 60 games and is seven points out of the playoffs.

The Flames are expected to be an active team this week with the NHL trade deadline approaching on Friday.

Defenseman Noah Hanifin sits atop TSN's trade board as they believe the player could be traded before the deadline. Goaltender Jacob Markstrom is also ninth on the list.

The auction closes on March 8th at 1:00 PM MT (3:00 PM ET).
