In Montreal, shots were fired at Carrefour Angrignon in the LaSalle neighborhood on Friday evening.

At 9:10 p.m., police received an emergency call about gunshots near the mall. The suspects fled before Montreal police arrived, who found several shell casings on the ground and noted that at least two shells had hit the building. .

“According to the initial information received, the vehicle approached another stationary vehicle before firing in its direction. “The participants fled inside the business before fleeing in an unknown direction,” Montreal police spokeswoman Sabrina Gauthier said.

Police did not make any arrests, but a 19-year-old man arrived at the hospital shortly after with injuries. His injuries are not life-threatening.

“The circumstances surrounding this man who suffered a stab wound remain unclear,” Montreal police spokeswoman Caroline Chevrefils said Saturday morning.

“At this time, we cannot confirm that there is a connection between these two incidents,” he explained.

Montreal police opened a separate investigation into the man. Both investigations are ongoing.
