Valerie Plante appreciates the federal budget for promoting rapid access to social and affordable housing

“The City of Montreal will continue to defend its priorities: building more housing, ensuring the sustainability of the area and improving the quality of life.”

Montreal Mayor Valérie Plante praised the federal budget presented Tuesday by Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland in the House of Commons in Ottawa. Plante highlighted budget measures related to social and affordable housing.

“I welcome the Government of Canada's budget, which includes strong measures to promote rapid access to social and affordable housing. Montreal will continue to raise its voice with other levels of government and work with them to protect the priorities of the metropolitan area: building more housing, ensuring the stability of the area and improving the quality of life.”
