Montreal's Royalmount mega-mall is set to open this coming August, and it's safe to say Quebec will have even more luxury.

Led by real estate developer Carbonleo, the upcoming Royalmount Mall promises to redefine the shopping experience with more than 170 stores, more than 60 cafes and restaurants, a VIP cinema, a REC room and a variety of arts and entertainment events.

Although Royalmount has kept its store directory under wraps for some time, the mall has announced several luxury brands and stores opening as part of the mall's first phase, including Saint Laurent, Versace, Jimmy Choo and TAG Heuer. Acuité Visuelle, Aldo, Bikini Village, Browns, Dynamite, Garage, Impact, La Vie en Rose, Mackage, Moose Knuckles and RUDSAK.

As for the food options, most of them have been closed until now.

Le Fou Fou, an innovative European-style food hall led by entrepreneur David Haas, is officially opening at Royalmount. Teaming up with Carbonleo, this venture promises to redefine Montreal's culinary scene by combining culinary excellence with technology and hospitality.

Spanning more than 30,000 square feet, Le Fou Fou offers 12 culinary concepts, four bars and indoor and outdoor spaces for up to 900 guests, all conceived by Lemais Michaud.

Featuring celebrity chefs such as Tony Messina and Hanhak Kim, Le Fu Fu offers a diverse culinary experience complemented by cutting-edge technology for non-stop service from dawn to dusk.

Led by Jay Coldren, a food hall veteran with a rich career history at Time Out Market, Dean & DeLuca, EDITION Hotels, and the prestigious Little Washington Inn, Le Fou Fou embodies the essence of culinary creativity at its finest.

“Le Fou Fou's ethos is to create a unique environment where everyone can experience a symphony of sensory pleasures on their own terms. Our aspiration is for every guest to leave feeling energized by their experience at Le Fou Fou and together. 'When will we go back?' begs the question,” owner David Haas said in a press release shared on the MTL Blog.

Le Fou Fou's schedule promises to captivate with a variety of events, from exciting art exhibitions, to live DJ performances, social events and fancy weekend brunches.

The first phase of the Royalmount mega-mall will open on August 15, 2024.
