Manitoba Weather: Moving down through the province of Colorado

A first round of rain and snow in Colorado is moving into southern Manitoba on Wednesday.

Winnipeg will get a break this afternoon after rain and snow hit the city overnight and this morning.

Further north, Environment and Climate Change Canada has extended snow warnings to many areas in the northwest, north-central and central parts of the province.

Another 15-30 cm of snow is possible there, mostly today. But as this low pressure system takes its time, snow is expected to continue in these areas on Thursday and Friday.

In and around Winnipeg, a second round of rain and snow could begin overnight and continue into Thursday. On Friday, there is a possibility of light snowfall in the city.

Sunshine and warm temperatures will return in time for the weekend.
