Crash closes highway near Coaldale, Alta.: RCMP

A serious multi-vehicle crash has closed the north side of Coaldale, Alta., early Wednesday morning.

RCMP say the three-car crash happened on Highway 845, south of Highway 519, at the Nolan Bridge.

The car cannot pass through that part of the highway and is being diverted.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist was called to the scene to investigate.

Police asked motorists to avoid the area.

Coaldale is approximately 227 kilometers southeast of Calgary.
