WFPS responded twice to a North End house fire

Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) crews recently battled two fires at a residence.

Crews responded to reports of a fire at a two-story converted residence in the 300 block of Manitoba Avenue.

Crews, first called at 5:44 p.m. Monday evening, attacked the interior fire using hose lines and fire extinguishers. It was declared under control at 6:48 p.m

More than seven hours later, at 2:22 a.m. Tuesday, firefighters were called back after the fire was discovered during fire control. At 3 a.m., crews quickly entered the building to put out the fire and announced that it was under control

Due to a previous fire on March 27, 2024, the residence was unoccupied and cordoned off, so no injuries were reported.

The cause of the two fires is being determined.
