The soup was taken to the Ontario legislature: the police

A suspicious package delivered to Queen's Park on Thursday was identified as a packet of powdered sauce, police said.

The Toronto Police Service (TPS) said officers were called to the Ontario Legislature at 11:30 a.m. to report a suspicious package.

According to the police, employees were evacuated from a small area of the building.

Later, an explosives unit officer found that the package contained powder sauce. Police believe the item was made as a prank, they said.

It's the second time in a week that the gravy delivered to Queen's Park has hit the headlines. Last week, Prime Minister Ford was presented with a jar of the sauce by Liberal Parliamentary Leader John Fraser. The gesture served as a reminder of the Ford family motto: “Stop the lawsuit train,” Frazier said.

It is unclear whether there is any connection between the two instances.

This is an evolving story. In the future…
