Miriam Katavazi is a multi-platform writer for CTV News Toronto, covering breaking news and features.

Over the years, Katawazi has worked in various news roles nationally and internationally. He worked Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, CBC Ottawa and the CBC International Bureau in London, England. It covered everything from breaking news to obscure stories waiting to be told.

Catawazi graduated from Carleton University with a double major in human rights and journalism.

Katawazi is fluent in both English and Pashto, one of Afghanistan's two official languages.
