Joe Daly's entry point in sports and framing

A sports memorabilia store in Winnipeg has been the target of multiple break-ins and is now trying to recover the stolen property.

Joe Daly's Sports and Framing broke down on Monday night.

The owner is now asking people to keep an eye out for several valuable stolen items, including autographed heritage jerseys from Mark Scheifele and Kyle Connor, an autographed Buffalo Bills jersey from Josh Allen, and an autographed Dallas Cowboys jersey from Emmitt Smith. Other missing items include hockey kits from the early 70s.

“It's disturbing,” said store owner Joe Daly. “Some things can be replaced, but it still hurts when we've had it and gone in a few times.”

This isn't the first time the store has been broken into, Daley said it's the third in the past six months. This includes one incident where a vehicle was stolen and a building was entered.

“It has become very annoying as it has hindered our business and cost a lot to repair,” he said.

Moving forward, Daly said he wants officials to make some changes to make Winnipeg's streets safer.

“This has simply gone too far and until the powers that be do something about it, nothing will change and our lives will be destroyed,” he said.

The Winnipeg Police Service said it is aware of Monday's incident and is investigating.
