Burt Block Parties returns to downtown Winnipeg with a very Canadian lineup – Winnipeg

While the warmer weather brings relief from the cold Winnipeg winter, it's a reminder that festival season is on the horizon.

This summer, downtown Winnipeg's Burton Cummings Theater will once again host its popular outdoor concert series, Burt's Block Party, this time featuring a very Canadian lineup of artists.

Burt announced this year's edition of the festival on Tuesday, with Blue Rodeo, The Arkells, The Headstones and Tom Cochrane gracing the stage from August 22-25.

The block parties host nearly 4,000 fans each night outside the historic theater, along with food trucks and vendors. New, full festival tickets will be available for this year's event.
