An Oshawa teenager has been charged in connection with a Toronto carjacking investigation

Three people, including a teenage boy from Oshawa, are facing more than 50 charges following a carjacking investigation by Toronto police.

Police were called to a carjacking in the area of ​​Ellesmere Road and Kennedy Road on April 6.

The victim was getting out of a BMW X5 in the parking lot when a white SUV pulled up behind them.

Three suspects came out wearing black clothes and masks and demanded the car keys.

One of the suspects pointed a gun at the victim, but was not injured.

Police then said they were called to the area of ​​Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue on April 11.

Four suspects got out of a gray sedan and approached the owner of a Lamborghini Urus at a gas station.

They said the suspects assaulted the owner several times and eventually took the victim's keys and fled in a Lamborghini.

The victim suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries.

On Friday, police investigated a stolen vehicle at Islington Avenue and Steeles Avenue West.

Officers were driving a white Lamborghini Urus and their automatic license plate reader (ALPR) alerted it to be a stolen vehicle.

Police followed the Lamborghini to the Barmac Drive car park, where the driver got out and entered the establishment.

Officers saw a BMW X5 pull into the same parking lot as the one involved in the April 6 carjacking.

They said the BMW was about to leave the area when police moved in to make an arrest.

However, the driver drove off the hill, hit several police cars, evaded arrest and disappeared from the officers.

According to law enforcement officers, the driver refused to comply with the demands of the law enforcement officers and tried to run away even when he was put in a box with a police car.

Three people in the car were arrested.

During the arrest, three firearms were recovered and more than $18,000 in Canadian currency was seized.

Mehkash Sohal, 21, of Mississauga, was charged with:

  1. Armed robbery
  2. Two counts of property obtained by crime over $5,000
  3. A dangerous operation
  4. 11 counts of assault with intent to resist arrest
  5. Possession of restricted or prohibited firearms without a license and registration certificate
  6. Knowledge of unlicensed, restricted or prohibited firearms
  7. Have a loaded custom firearm
  8. Use/hold/store weapons carelessly
  9. Use/handle/store ammunition carelessly
  10. Possess a weapon dangerous to the public peace
  11. Hold the car with firearms
  12. Two counts of Unlicensed Possession of Prohibited/Restricted Weapon – Magazine
  13. Two counts of possession of a firearm while prohibited
  14. Obstructing/resisting a public/peace officer
  15. Failure to comply with removal orders

Dacon Green, 19, of Oakville, was charged with:

  1. Possession of restricted or prohibited firearms without a license and registration certificate
  2. Knowledge of unlicensed, restricted or prohibited firearms
  3. Have a loaded custom firearm
  4. Use/hold/store weapons carelessly
  5. Use/handle/store ammunition carelessly
  6. Possession of arms, etc./Dangerous to public peace
  7. Hold the car with firearms
  8. Two counts of unlicensed person possessing a prohibited/restricted weapon
  9. Possession of property or things obtained by crime/not exceeding $5,000
  10. Two counts of failure to perform an undertaking
  11. Failure to comply with removal orders
  12. Violation of probation

A 17-year-old Oshawa male* has been charged with:

  1. Possession of restricted or prohibited firearms without a license and registration certificate
  2. Knowledge of unlicensed, restricted or prohibited firearms
  3. Have a loaded custom firearm
  4. Use/hold/store weapons carelessly
  5. Use/handle/store ammunition carelessly
  6. Possession of arms, etc./Dangerous to public peace
  7. Hold the car with firearms
  8. Three counts of unlicensed person possessing a prohibited/restricted weapon
  9. Possession of property or things obtained by crime/not exceeding $5,000
  10. Possession of criminal proceeds is over
