26 charges are brought against 3 people in connection with the shooting

Winnipeg police have announced 26 charges against three people in connection with the April 15 shooting.

WPS officers say they responded to a Winnipeg hospital after receiving a report of a 56-year-old man who had been shot.

During the investigation, officers learned that the man had gone to an address on William Avenue during the night to visit a friend.

According to reports, a man was shot through the door after knocking, causing serious upper body injuries. Later, he ran away from the scene and was admitted to the hospital.

After learning about this, law enforcement officers went to the said address, where they saw a man and a woman leaving and arrested them.

A second man was on the loose for a short time before being taken into police custody, police said.

Officers conducted a search and seized the rifle along with a modified rifle and ammunition.

Addison Jay Larocque, 25, has since been charged with 14 counts, including failure to comply with a release order and assault with a weapon.

Peyton Gott, 23, faces seven charges, including assault with a weapon.

Finally, 20-year-old Summer Young faces five charges, including assault with a weapon.
