Winnipeg police are asking for the public's help in a murder case

The Winnipeg Police Service's homicide unit is asking for the public's help in solving the death of 26-year-old Kevin Delaney Flett.

Flett was found critically injured on February 25, 2024, around 11:20 p.m. near Maryland Street and Wellington Avenue. Despite being taken to hospital, he later died.

In the latest update, the homicide unit has identified the suspect as 30-year-old Tyrone Custer Harper. Harper is currently wanted on charges of 2nd degree murder in connection with Flett's death.

Police are urging anyone with information on Harper's whereabouts to come forward. They can call the homicide unit at 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS. Information can also be submitted online at winnipegcrimestoppers.org.
