Weston murder victim identified | CTV News

Toronto police have identified a man who was shot and killed in the city's Weston neighborhood Sunday afternoon.

The shooting happened near West Lawrence Avenue and Ralph Street, just east of Weston Road.

Police were called to the scene around 5:00 p.m. after reports of multiple gunshots.

There, police found a man with a gunshot wound.

The suspect(s) fled the scene.

Despite life-saving measures, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

He has now been identified as 32-year-old Toronto resident Mohamud Abdi Duale.

Duale is the city's 21st homicide victim of the year.

Police said they have no suspect information at this time.

They also said it's unclear how the suspect(s) fled the area and don't know what caused the death.

Anyone with information, including witnesses to the shooting or anyone who was driving in the area at the time and has surveillance footage, is asked to call Toronto police anonymously at 416-808-7400 or Crime Stoppers.
