Two pedestrians were hit in downtown Calgary

Emergency crews responded to two pedestrian incidents in downtown Calgary early Tuesday morning.

Calgary Fire, Police and EMS responded to 5th Avenue and 5th Street as well as 5th Avenue and 6th Street.

The first incident was reported to the city at 8:30 a.m. and the second at 8:45 a.m.

Eastbound traffic was affected in the left and right lanes.

The collision at 5th Avenue and 6th Street was cleared about 45 minutes after it was first reported.
