Montrealers come together to wrap gifts for children in need for Eid al-Fitr

During Eid al-Fitr, the biggest holiday for Muslims, the Community Engagement Project, a Montreal non-profit organization, will donate 50 gifts and toys to children in need, hoping to share the joy and brighten their days during this special event.

“Eid is a celebration and it's something we remember when we were young and young, so we wanted to make this event as special for them as it was for us,” said Sour Harfuch, co-founder and executive director of the Community Engagement Project. director.

“We thought about the children who are facing socio-economic difficulties, they don't celebrate Eid with the same joy as other people, so this is like giving back to our community and bringing joy to them on this auspicious day of Eid. »
