Lane Hutson is ready to bring control and chaos to the Montreal Canadiens lineup

DETROIT, Michigan – As his first official skate with the Montreal Canadiens nears completion on Monday, Lane Hutson has been tapped to help determine the winner of the practice session between the red and white team.

Hutson scored a goal, got a red sleeve and needed a quick spin before leaving the ice in preparation for Monday's game against the Detroit Red Wings.

It was part of four days for the 20-year-old quarterback and 2022 second-round pick.

Hutson ended his NCAA career last Thursday in a 2-1 overtime loss to Denver. He finished his two-year tenure with the Terriers with 97 points (30 goals, 67 assists) in 77 games, a top-10 finalist for the Hobey Baker Award, eventually falling to freshman Maclin Celebrini.

Hutson then signed with Montreal this weekend and joined the team in Detroit
