Ice chips: Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner reunited at Maple Leafs practice in Toronto

Stay up to date with all NHL injury news and roster updates with Ice Chips daily.

Max Domi and Bobby McMann both missed Monday's Toronto Maple Leafs practice, according to TSN's Mark Masters.

Head coach Sheldon Keefe told reporters that McMann will not play in the final two games of the season, while Domi will not play Tuesday and is listed as “questionable” for Wednesday.

Domi suffered the injury in the Leafs' 6-5 loss to the New Jersey Devils on Thursday, but played against the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday.

Wizards also reported that the Leafs skated different lines in practice:

Tyler Bertuzzi, Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner skated Monday. Marner and Matthews have been estranged since Marner returned from injury in early April.

Jake McCabe skates on the second defensive pairing after scoring a puck against the Red Wings on Saturday.

Matthews has 69 goals this season, and eight goals (10 over that stretch) put him over 70 in a year — a feat not accomplished since the 1992-93 season.

Toronto's final two games of the season are against playoff teams in the Florida Panthers on Tuesday and the Tampa Bay Lightning on Wednesday.

Kalle Jarnkrok, who has been out for several weeks with a hand injury, skated with the Leafs before practice on Monday and joined the last half of special teams practice. Keefe said Jarnkrok is “not ready to play” and his status for Game 1 of the Stanley Cup playoffs is unclear.

Winnipeg Airplanes

Forward Nino Niederreiter did not participate in Monday's practice with the Winnipeg Jets, according to TSN's John Lue.

Niederreiter, 31, has 18 goals and 33 points in 75 games for the Jets this season. He hasn't played since April 1 when he sprained his leg against the Los Angeles Kings.

Edmonton Oilers

According to TSN's Ryan Rishaug, the Edmonton Oilers made some new top line pairings on Monday.

Connor McDavid skated with Adam Henrique and Zach Hyman as he looks to return to action after missing the last three games with a lower-body injury.

Evander Kane did not practice for the Oilers.

According to The Athletic's Fluto Shinzawa, the Boston Bruins skated the following lines on Monday:

The Bruins are one point ahead of the Panthers for first place in the Atlantic Division – they have two games left, compared to Florida's one game.

Charlie Lindgren is expected to start Monday for the Washington Capitals against the Bruins, The Athletic's Tariq El-Bashir reports.

Meanwhile, Dylan McIlrath is expected to replace Nick Jensen in the lineup against Boston.

The Capitals enter a three-way tie with the Philadelphia Flyers and Detroit Red Wings for eighth place in the Eastern Conference on Monday.
