Calgary Weather: Expect Winter's Last Dance

With Tuesday's wintry weather, it's time to ditch the shorts and ditch the coat again.

We will struggle to stay above freezing on Tuesday from a mid-day temperature of 16 degrees on Monday.

Snow, sleet, gusts from the north at 60 km/h.

Below are the most likely snow totals expected for southern Alberta between Monday night and Wednesday morning.

In some local areas, in some parts of the foothills, up to 20 centimeters of snow will fall, and in many settlements it will reach the mark of 10-15 centimeters.

Calgary is looking at five to 10 centimeters.

Areas to the east are expected to see less of the white stuff as it will be more of a rain event than snow as temperatures warm.

The snow should taper off by Wednesday morning, leaving us with stable but cooler weather for the rest of the work week.

Temperatures will rise again over the weekend.
