Autobus Idéal bus drivers influenced Montreal students

Members of the union representing Autobus Idéal, Syndicat des travailleuses et travailleurs des (STTAI–CSN) are on strike from Tuesday until April 28.

On March 11, the union adopted a mandate for pressure tactics that could lead to a formal strike.

STTAI-CSN has about 165 members without an employment contract as of June 30, 2023.

About 10,000 students will be affected by the strike, including students from the Center de service scolaire de Montreal, Pointe-de-l'Île and Laval.

The Federation of Employees and Public Services (FEESP-CSN) has more than 425 affiliated unions representing 65,000 public and public service members.
