Two men have been charged after a Markham home invasion Saturday afternoon and a stolen vehicle was recovered.

York Regional Police responded to a home invasion report in the area of ​​East Steeles Avenue and Henderson Avenue on April 12 around 4 p.m., when a woman reported that two armed men entered her home and threatened to kill her while demanding money. news release. The victim was not injured.

The suspects fled in a white sport utility vehicle that had been stolen earlier that day in Orillia, police said.

The stolen vehicle was recovered with the assistance of the Air Support Unit and the Toronto Police Service. The suspects were located on foot in a mall in Toronto and arrested.

Wiley Gabriel, 18, of no fixed address, and Andrew Parsons, 24, of Toronto, are charged, police said.

Parsons was on two release orders and was seeking TPS at the time of those crimes, police said.
