Queen Rock Montreal Coming Soon to Disney+ – What's on Disney Plus

Disney has announced that the Queen Rock Montreal concert film will be released worldwide on Disney+ on May 15, 2024.

“Queen Rock Montreal” presents Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon at their best and funniest. The original concerts, held on November 24th and 25th, 1981, were specially arranged for a full-length concert film to document their live show.

It is the first concert film with DTS-supported IMAX Enhanced sound. Subscribers on IMAX Enhanced certified devices can experience the full dynamic range of every heartbeat moment of this digitally remastered concert film that captures the world's most iconic rock band at the peak of their live power.

The film was restored for IMAX by Mercury Studios. Executive producers include Jeff Kempin and Alice Webb for Mercury Studios and Jim Beach and Matilda Beach for Queen Films.

“Queen Rock Montreal” was screened in IMAX theaters for a limited time in January of this year.

Best-in-class certified device manufacturers support IMAX Enhanced audio, starting with select DTS:X-enabled Android/Google TV devices from Sony, Hisense, Sharp, Xiaomi and more. Additionally, owners of certified DTS:X-enabled AV receivers from manufacturers such as Denon, Marantz and JBL can also enjoy the launch experience.

Disney+ is the first major streaming service to enhance the home viewing experience with IMAX Enhanced, giving subscribers new ways to re-watch select content like the new Queen Rock Montreal concert.

It's the latest music special to air on Disney+, following concerts by Elton John and Taylor Swift, as well as documentaries about The Beatles, Bono, Miley Cyrus and Ed Sheeran.
