According to preliminary information of the force, the car was traveling in the north direction, the driver, a 54-year-old man, heard the sound of gunshots.

“At this point, the back window of his car was broken,” SPVM spokeswoman Sabrina Gauthier said. “Fortunately, there were no injuries.”

The SPVM declined to confirm Sunday afternoon whether the vehicle was indeed the scene of the shooting, as the investigation continues.

The suspect vehicle fled the scene before police arrived.

Service Road 25, also known as Boulevard Louis-H.-La Fontaine, is closed to traffic between rue Lamartine and rue Bombardier.

Investigators were sent to analyze the scene and determine the circumstances of the incident.
