Man stabbed in Oshawa CP24.com

A man was taken to hospital after he was stabbed in Oshawa on Sunday.

The incident happened on Bruce Street near South Simcoe Street and East King Street.

Durham Regional Police said they were called to the area around 4:40 p.m. for a report of a stabbing.

There, police officers found a man with a knife wound.

According to police, the victim was taken to a trauma center in Toronto in critical condition.

“At this point, it appears to be a targeted event rather than an accident. “The suspect is still at large,” said Sgt. Joan Bortolus, DRPS, told CTV News Toronto.

Bruce Street in Oshawa is currently closed between Simcoe and Albert streets as police investigate. Drivers are asked to use an alternate route.
