Crews are searching the waters off Ashbridge Bay for a 'person in distress'

Emergency responders are searching for a person who may be in trouble after drowning in Ashbridges Bay Park, Toronto Fire says.

The service told CP24 Sunday evening they were looking for a “person in distress.”

Crews had been in the area since 6 p.m., they said.

At this time, several boats have been dispatched, but there are no divers yet, the Toronto Fire Service said.
