Calgary police are investigating a possible gunman at a home in SW

More Calgary police are investigating a possible gunman at a southwest home near Chinook Mall on Sunday.

Staff Sergeant John Gigon told CityNews they received a call about a person with a firearm at a home in the 600 block of 68th Avenue and 5th Street around 1 p.m.

He said they are there to err on the side of caution during investigations.

So far, there have been no casualties or shots fired.
