A vehicle may have been shot at in Anjou: SPVM

Montreal police say shots may have been fired at a vehicle on the Highway 25 service road in Anjou early Sunday morning.

According to SPVM, the incident happened around 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of Bombardier Street.

The 54-year-old driver of the northbound vehicle told police he heard gunshots.

“That's when the back window of his car went down,” SPVM spokeswoman Sabrina Gauthier said.

On Sunday afternoon, the SPVM declined to confirm whether the shooting was to blame.

The suspect vehicle fled before police arrived, Gauthier added. There are no casualties.

Highway 25 between Lamartine Street and Bombardier Street was closed to traffic on Sunday.

The SPVM investigation is ongoing.
