Toronto transit sexual assault investigation: Suspicious photos released

Toronto police have released images of a suspect who allegedly sexually assaulted two women on the Toronto transit system this week.

Investigators say the first incident happened on April 11, just after 1 p.m., when a woman reported she was approached and sexually assaulted by a man at Islington Tube station on Bloor Street West.

The following Saturday, April 13, another woman reported being assaulted on Route 1 near Museum Station around 4 p.m.

On Sunday, police released images of the suspect they are investigating. They described him as a man in his 20s, about five feet seven inches tall. He is of medium build, with curly brown hair and facial hair, they say.

The suspect was wearing a red coat at the time of the assault.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-808-5200.
