“I don't eat it anymore” The Internet is asking why Nestlé drums don't melt.

Some netizens are questioning what has been put into Nestlé Popular after ice cream treats, drumsticks barely seem to melt after sitting for hours.

The viral video has garnered more than 11 million views since it was posted, showing someone insisting that a drum cone be left outside for 24 hours.

In the video, the user said: “I ate it, but I won't eat it anymore, I won't eat these anymore.”

Another user had a similar concern about leaving an ice cream cone outside.

“I need answers,” she captioned the video.

Now, Toronto contacted an integrative nutritionist named Dora Chan, who explained that it's unclear what the treatment entails.

“According to Nestle Canada, their Classic Vanilla Drum Stick appears to be made with milk and modified milk ingredients, sugar, palm and soybean oils, various emulsifiers and stabilizers (mono- and diglycerides, soy lecithin, cellulose gum, black bean). gum, carrageenan) and added color and flavor.

“Emulsifiers and stabilizers are added to improve the texture, creaminess and stability of ice cream, and ice cream can appear 'non-melting' on video. Although frozen milk melts, it retains its ice cream state thanks to these chemicals,” he added.

Chan also confirmed that Drumsticks or similar ice creams can be eaten in moderation.

Now Toronto has reached out to Nestlé Canada, but has not heard back by the time of publication.

In addition, Chan said dietary supplements are regulated in Canada under the Food and Drug Administration and are considered safe.
