Dave Dormer, a journalist with 22 years of experience, joined CTV News Calgary in March 2019.

Dave began his career as a newspaper reporter in BC, then spent 10 years as assistant city editor at the Calgary Sun, also covering civil affairs.

From there, he spent three years at CBC Calgary before moving to CTV News Calgary, where he works as a digital producer.

A graduate of Southern Alberta Institute of Technology's photojournalism program, Dave has extensive experience in digital media and has covered everything from crime to sports to civil affairs.

A former volunteer counselor at the Calgary Distress Centre, Dave enjoys listening to reggae music, road cycling and traveling.

Dave speaks English.
